Understand Your Mission for Business Success

By Vito La Fata

What over-the-top massive action are you striving towards in your fitness business? How can we together rewrite the future of our nation and our industry? We need to know our missions, and just as important, we need to know what is trying to block us from your mission. We need to have our vision and our goals clearly laid out for us this year and for the securing of our futures.

Get out of your comfort zone. At this point we know that if any change is going to occur it never happens where we are comfortable. The issue is how often are you putting yourself into a place of discomfort so you can grow? Share with some others in your circle, not just the business goals, but the life roles you are in.

Also, take some time to think about the different roles that you play in your life. Maybe you are a mom or a dad or a grandmother or grandfather. Spend some time journaling where you are and where you would like to be in each of those roles: that is part of your vision too.

The mission in life and business isn't to just chase "to do lists," but it's to chase significance and to not just get stuff done, but to move towards our dreams. Where the speed bumps come into play is when you don't own your agenda or when you don't aim your productivity towards something. Do you actually know what outcome you are looking for in your business? Is it just to make a profit? Or is it to leave an impact?

One way to reach those outcomes that you are striving for is to set deadlines for yourself. And be sure to set up rewards and consequences for either meeting or missing those deadlines. This will help you to stay motivated. Marketing especially needs to be on a schedule-this is where you make your profit.

Even though people around you may not be seeking hard after their missions and visions, you must not let their procrastination tendencies affect how you live your life. Set up accountability for yourself and make your mission a reality!
